✦ FENCING · LONDON & NEARBY
Replacing a fence starts with the existing boundary and what you want instead. Show the full run and explain which parts need to change. Fence replacement renews an agreed boundary run when existing panels or supports are no longer suitable. Plan removal, new posts and the finish together so the replacement follows an authorised line and workable access route.

First decide whether the entire run or selected sections need renewal. Record the current height, panel sizes, gates and corners, then identify what should stay. Fence-panel replacement and concrete-post changes are included within this scope or Fence Repairs according to the condition. Choosing a similar panel does not establish that the old foundations are suitable, and a new boundary must not assume permission to change its line.
The proposed work should distinguish dismantling, support preparation, post installation and new panels or boards. Existing planting and adjacent surfaces may need protection. If the replacement changes height or arrangement, check the applicable permissions and responsible approval.

Assess existing concrete or timber supports and agree whether compatible posts or new foundations are needed.
Confirm dimensions, materials, stepping and gate details before supply, including any limitations on matching retained sections.
For fence replacement, send your postcode and photos showing the complete run and individual supports. Give approximate length and preferred height, identify the authorised boundary and show the carry route. State what should remain. A clear estimate separates removal, new supports, panels, gates and any disposal.
Boundary ownership decisions, retaining structures and tree operations are not automatic replacement work. An old fence may conceal unsuitable ground or obstructions that need a separately agreed change of scope.
✦ BEFORE YOU BOOK
That can be considered when supports are suitable. Panel-only work should be distinguished from renewing posts and foundations.
Their condition, alignment and compatibility need assessment. Retention is not confirmed from appearance alone.
Discuss the proposed height and any permissions first. The old arrangement does not automatically authorise a larger replacement.
Identify planting to retain. Access and root conflicts should be assessed before any removal is agreed.
Only when specifically agreed with appropriate confirmed arrangements. The quotation must distinguish dismantling from off-site removal.
