Tree care from the ground

Our usual tree-work scope is ground-based work on trees up to 5 metres. Tell us whether you need planting, pruning, shaping or help deciding what to address first. The position of the tree, its condition and the route into the garden matter as well as its height.

Larger or higher trees

The hourly service covers ground-based work on trees up to 5 metres. Send a clear view of the whole tree and the surrounding space. An enquiry lets us assess the proposed work; the method and scope must be agreed before a booking. We make no climbing or rope-access offer.

Planting and establishment

For a new tree, show the intended position and tell us whether you already have a plant. The quotation states whether it includes the tree, soil preparation, compost, mulch and initial watering. Plant supply and aftercare are agreed separately.

Before work starts

Larger or higher-risk jobs are assessed individually. We check which approvals are needed before work starts.

Everyone who works on your property is covered by public liability insurance, and we check this before they start.

Your enquiry

Photograph the access route, nearby fences and buildings, as well as the tree itself. Include its approximate height and the result you want. We review the details and discuss whether a site assessment is needed before agreeing the quotation.

Start with the change you want

Tell us what is causing difficulty: growth over a path, a shape that no longer suits the garden, or a tree you would like to plant. If you know the species, include it, but a clear photograph is still useful when you do not. Explain which branches or features matter to you and show the tree in relation to the house. We discuss the proposed result before agreeing the tasks, rather than treat every tree enquiry as a request for removal.

Give access its own photograph

A tree may be easy to see from the house but harder to reach with equipment. Show the gate, passage and any steps on the way into the garden. Point out fences, sheds, other planting and areas that must stay accessible. If a neighbour or managing agent controls part of the route, tell us who can authorise access. These details help us assess the actual job instead of relying only on the height or a close-up of foliage.

Protected trees and permissions

We check whether a Tree Preservation Order or conservation-area controls affect the proposed work and confirm the applicable approval or notification requirements before it starts. A small tree is not automatically free from protection. If you already have a council letter or consent, tell us and provide the relevant details for the agreed task. The local planning authority determines the permissions that apply; a quotation does not replace its decision.

Keep the quotation clear

Your enquiry should distinguish the work on the tree from new planting, materials or other garden tasks. If you want several jobs considered together, list them in order of importance. The quotation sets out the work we agree, with additional tasks discussed before they go ahead. Waste is charged separately and agreed in the quotation. Sending photographs starts the assessment; it does not by itself confirm an appointment or the acceptance of a larger operation.
