Decide whether the garden needs care or recovery
If you can still see the structure of the garden, maintenance may be the useful starting point. Lawn care, weeding, hedge trimming and shrub work can be discussed around the established planting and surfaces.
Where vegetation is hiding the ground or blocking access, clearance needs a different assessment. Tell us about anything within the growth that you know should stay. Show loose materials separately so they can be identified.
Read the Colindale garden-clearance page for an overgrown space. For care of the existing garden, see gardening in Colindale.
Show how the space is reached
Access can be particularly important when the route is shared, restricted or passes through the property. Explain which gate or entrance is available and photograph the narrowest section. Let us know about steps, sharp turns and any arrangements you need to make with a property manager.
If the garden forms part of a shared or managed space, identify the area included in your enquiry. A marked photograph or simple sketch helps avoid confusion about boundaries and responsibility.
For landscaping, add rough measurements and show the existing levels. The square metres, ground condition and access influence a quotation made for the individual job.
