Recover before redesigning
If the garden is overgrown, clearance can reveal the space that is already there. A path or bed may still be useful once the surrounding vegetation is reduced. Tell us about features you remember and plants that should remain.
Where the garden is accessible, maintenance can concentrate on the lawn, borders, shrubs and hedge line. If you want a different arrangement, landscaping needs a closer look at the ground, levels and proposed areas.
The local garden-clearance page covers an overgrown garden. For changes beyond routine care, read landscaping in Borehamwood. Landscaping is quoted per job.
Photograph the work and the route
Wide pictures explain the relationship between the house, garden and boundaries. Close views show growth, damaged edges or material that needs identifying. Include the areas you want kept, not only those you want changed.
Access can affect how the work is organised. Show gates, side passages, steps and any route through the property. If materials need to pass around a corner or through a narrow opening, photograph the awkward point directly.
Rough measurements help describe a proposed area. For preparation work, we also need to understand the ground condition. Tell us about wet areas, uneven surfaces and earlier changes you know have been made.
