Start with the whole space
Take a view from the house towards the end of the garden and, if you can reach it safely, a view back towards the house. Do not enter dense growth or move unstable objects just to take a picture. Explain if parts of the garden cannot currently be reached.
Show what needs attention
For mowing, show the grass and its edges. For hedge work, include the length and the growth you want reduced or shaped. For clearance, show brambles, overgrown borders and paths that are difficult to use. Mention plants you want kept, especially where they are mixed into unwanted growth.
Include access information
Describe whether there is a rear entrance, a narrow passage or access through the house. A photograph of the access route helps us understand how equipment will reach the garden. Avoid including keys, security codes, faces or personal documents.
Send the priorities with the pictures
Tell us your full postcode, the work you want done and any preferred dates. The quote form accepts up to three JPEG, PNG or WebP photographs, each up to 2 MB. Photos are a starting point; we may need a site visit before agreeing the work and estimated time.
Explain what the photograph cannot show
A picture is helpful, but a short note can explain the priorities behind it. Say which shrubs should stay, which part of the garden is difficult to reach and what you want usable after the work. If the garden has been left for months, mention that; if the main problem is simply mowing and weeding after a busy spell, explain that instead. We assess the condition before recommending maintenance or clearance. Do not guess the number of hours from the garden size alone. Photos or a site visit help us agree the expected time.
Choose three useful views
The form has room for up to three photographs, so choose views that explain different parts of the job. One can show the main garden, another the growth or surface needing attention, and another the route in. For leaf collection, include the lawn, paths, beds, patio or drive that you want cleared. For a larger mixed job, use the job-details box to explain the areas not shown. If you cannot reach a corner safely, describe it instead. The photographs do not need to be a complete survey before you contact us.
Match the details to the service
For planting, explain whether you already have plants or want supply included. The quotation identifies the agreed preparation, compost, mulch, initial watering and other arrangements. For landscaping, show levels, access and existing surfaces, then discuss a site visit before the quotation. For pressure washing, tell us about access, an electrical socket and a working water connection, which the customer provides. Gardening does not need customer power or water. Keeping these details with the photographs helps us understand the enquiry without treating different services as the same kind of visit.
Confirm the work after the photographs
Once we have reviewed the information, we discuss the tasks, estimated hours and price before you book. Tell us if you want a one-off appointment or regular care, and include your preferred dates. Weekend visits are available where the schedule allows. Materials, larger tree work, stumps, rubble and specialist tasks are assessed separately, as is any green-waste collection. Additional work is discussed before it goes ahead. Use the quote form when your pictures and postcode are ready, or call 07348 758581 if you would prefer to explain the job first.
