Garden clearance in London

Clear the overgrowth and get back into your garden.

Garden clearance in London starts with the growth that is stopping you using the space. We cut back agreed brambles, long grass and unwanted vegetation, open up accessible beds and paths, and identify the plants you want to keep before work begins.

Start with the growth that is in the way.

A clearance tackles the growth that has taken over, rather than treating the garden as a routine tidy. We assess the dense patches, the route in and the areas you want to use again. Plants and features you want to keep remain part of that plan. Some gardens need one difficult corner opened up; others need work across the lawn, beds and paths. The hours reflect the condition and agreed cutting back.

What's included

Overgrowth and brambles

We cut back overgrown grass, brambles and unwanted vegetation within the agreed area, opening enough space to work safely before continuing.

Hedges and shrubs

We trim and shape the agreed hedges and shrubs as part of bringing the garden back under control, with retained planting identified first.

Beds, borders and paths

We clear accessible beds, borders and paths and gather the green waste. Taking the green waste away is priced separately from the cutting-back work.

How we approach an overgrown garden

We first clear enough space to work safely. From there, the work follows the agreed priorities: cutting back unwanted vegetation, tackling brambles and overgrown grass, trimming and shaping hedges and shrubs, and clearing accessible beds, borders and paths. Cuttings are gathered in the garden as the work progresses, with the completed areas checked against the brief.

What it costs

The garden-clearance hourly price is shown below. Subject to assessment from photos or a visit. The condition, amount of growth and access affect the hours needed, rather than changing the hourly rate. Green waste is charged separately.

What's not included

Materials, larger tree work, stump removal, rubble and specialist work require a separate assessment. Lawn renovation is also separate from cutting back overgrown grass. If you have noticed ivy on a weak fence or poor lawn condition, include it in your photographs so we can consider the problem before recommending further work.

Your questions answered.

What if I cannot easily reach the back of the garden?+

Show the entrance and any narrow passage in your photos. We assess the access alongside the growth and begin by making enough space to work safely.

Can you work around plants I want to retain?+

Identify those plants before cutting begins. The agreed clearance should distinguish unwanted growth from the planting you want kept.

What is the clearance price and minimum booking?+

The clearance price and minimum booking are set out in What it costs. We assess the growth and access to confirm the hours. Green-waste collection is separate.

Can hedges be shaped during clearance?+

Yes. Hedge and shrub trimming and shaping can be included in the clearance tasks agreed for the garden.

What happens after the first clearance?+

If you would like ongoing care, we can discuss maintenance for the garden once the initial work is complete. That is a separate visit plan based on what needs attention next.
