Identify both sides of the boundary
Photograph the face within your garden, the top and any outer face requested. Specify which areas you control and whether another owner’s permission or access is required. A hedge beside a pavement needs a plan for public movement as well as the desired finish. We do not assume it can be worked from the neighbour’s property or that every section can be reached from one side.
Give useful dimensions and loading details
Approximate length, present height and desired finish help define the job. Include steps, sloping ground and fragile beds below the hedge. Our business is based at Shaldon Road, Edgware, but the parking and carry route at your address must be provided separately. Show where cuttings can be gathered and how they would reach the agreed loading point if collection is requested.
Agree timing and the finish
Check for active nesting before work and explain any known wildlife use. Work affecting active nests may need postponing or changing; availability alone is not a reason to proceed. The estimate should state trimming faces, reduction limits and disposal rather than promising every hedge can be restored in one cut. Send the full postcode and requested date for assessment.
